Services Agreement
EFFECTIVE 27 AUGUST 2026 · PLAIN ENGLISH ON PURPOSE
This is the agreement between First Ring (“we,” “us”) and the business that signs up for the service (“you”). Ticking the agreement box at checkout, or paying an invoice for the service, means you accept it.
1. What the service is
First Ring is an AI answering service for your business phone line. When a call reaches the service, an AI receptionist answers it, captures the caller’s details, and — where your calendar allows — books the job into your calendar. Calls, transcripts, and bookings appear on your First Ring dashboard. Depending on your plan, the service also texts back missed calls and returns web leads by phone.
The receptionist is an AI assistant. It identifies itself as an assistant when asked, and it never claims to be a human employee.
2. Plans, fees, and the founding rate
- Your plan (talk minutes per month, numbers or locations covered, features) and your prices are set in the personalised quote you accept at signup.
- You pay a one-time setup fee on your first invoice and a monthly retainer after that.
- Minutes beyond your plan’s monthly allowance bill at $0.50 per minute. If you outgrow your plan, we’ll propose moving you up a size — that is normally cheaper for you than paying overage.
- Founding rate: if your signup carried the founding offer, your retainer for the first three months is the discounted founding amount shown at checkout, and the standard rate applies from month four. The setup fee is not discounted.
3. Term and cancellation
- The service has a three-month minimum term, then continues month to month.
- After the minimum term, either side may cancel with thirty days’ written notice (email is fine).
- If we materially fail to provide the service and don’t fix it within fourteen days of your written notice, you may cancel without waiting out the minimum term.
4. Call recording
Calls answered by the service are recorded and transcribed, and the receptionist says so at the start of every call. Those recordings and transcripts exist so you can read and hear exactly what happened on your own line. You are responsible for confirming that receiving recorded calls is acceptable for your business in the places you operate; we will not remove the spoken recording disclosure.
5. What you're responsible for
- Giving us accurate business details (services, service area, hours, pricing rules) and keeping them current — the receptionist says what you tell us.
- Your own phone number and carrier arrangements, including forwarding calls to the service.
- Your calendar. Bookings land on the calendar connected for you at onboarding; managing the jobs on it is your business.
- Using the service lawfully. The service answers inbound calls; it is not a tool for outbound solicitation, and we don’t offer it as one.
6. What we don't promise
We build the service to answer quickly and book accurately, and we work on it constantly. But phone networks, carriers, calendars, and AI systems all have failure modes we don’t control, so we can’t promise that every call is answered, that every booking is perfect, or that the service is uninterrupted. The service is not for emergencies — callers reporting a life-safety emergency are told to hang up and call 911.
Our total liability for anything arising out of this agreement is capped at the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses — including missed jobs, lost revenue, or lost profits.
7. Data
How we handle call recordings, transcripts, caller details, and your account data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of this agreement.
8. Changes
If we change these terms, we’ll email you at least thirty days before the change takes effect. If you don’t accept a change, you may cancel before it applies — the minimum term is waived in that case.
9. The legal frame
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida. If any part of it is found unenforceable, the rest stands. Contact: firstringphone@gmail.com.
